Findon Cricket Club
Findon Cricket Club, located in West Sussex, England, has a rich history dating back to the 19th century. Founded in 1864, the club has been a staple of the local community for over 150 years. The club is nestled in the heart of the Sussex downs at a picturesque ground and has produced competitive teams across different levels, enjoying success in both junior and senior cricket. It is well known for its strong community spirit and commitment to nurturing local talent, making it a significant part of Sussex’s cricketing heritage.
Our Teams
We run 3 Saturday league teams and a Sunday friendly team, plus many junior age groups in our thriving colts section. We also enter the National Village Knockout, the Sussex T20 Cup and the Sussex Slam.
Senior 1st XI
Captain – Glen Bridson
Our 1st XI play on Saturdays in the Sussex Cricket League Division 3 West.
Senior 2nd XI
Captain – Cameron Young
The 2nd XI compete in Sussex Cricket League Division 6 West.
Senior 3rd XI
Captain – Mark Byerley
Our 3rd XI is a blend of youth and experience and currently play in Division 10 West of the Sussex Cricket League.
Sunday XI
Our Sunday XI plays friendly matches against other local clubs all over Sussex. This is often a great place for young players and old to enjoy their cricket in a less competitive environment.
Midweek XI
Our Midweek Team, Findon Horses, take part in ‘The Sussex Slam’ which provides an exciting 20/20 style competition that is fast, fun and convenient.
Junior Teams
With age groups from U10s to U16s, our Junior section offers both competitive and friendly matches. We also offer our hugely popular ‘All Stars’ sessions – an introduction to cricket for boys & girls aged 5 to 8.
